Our students need our help.
Manatee County has more than 300 teacher and staff vacancies. That means classrooms without teachers and school buses without drivers.
Manatee County teachers are leaving for surrounding districts at an alarming rate. We need to be able to recruit and retain the best of the best to prepare our students for their futures.
In 2016, we voted overwhelmingly to help our schools' buildings and equipment. Now we must help keep our teachers and support staff.
These funds will be dedicated to competitive pay for our teachers and support staff, career and technical training for our students, and 30 minutes of additional instructional time each day.
